Do you think AI devices should be banned from examination centers? Why or why not?

Many professors are suffering from students using AI during exams and coming up with creative solutions. Recently, many US schools have asked students to write down the answers during class hours. On the other hand, many prestigious universities are cancelling scores of students using AI detection software. These actions are understandable because students need to bring up their own ideas and reasoning to answer the questions. However, I believe AI devices should not be completely banned from examination centers for the following two reasons. Inevitably, students will use AI tools in the professional field, as many companies are adopting them to streamline processes. Without the know-how to use this technology, these students would lag. Alongside this, banning will encourage students to use more AI tools, as many adolescents tend to resist strict bans. Allowing them to use software and develop strategic thinking to efficiently leverage AI would help teenagers prepare for the future.
