The most expensive meal experience was what I had for my last birthday. Since my family has a tradition of treating others on birthdays, I took my friends to a nice Japanese restaurant in central London. Everything is expensive in the UK, but raw fish is the most expensive. This is because the restaurant must follow stringent safety standards through specialised handling and high-quality logistics designed for raw consumption. However, it was not worth the price in the end. First, there was the least variety of fish because there were only a few species. I could only have well-known fish such as tuna and salmon, which I can also get from the supermarket. Second, the price was unbelievably high compared to the quantity. For example, I had to pay 20 pounds for three pieces of tuna. Finally, the quality of service is abysmal. My birthday is near Christmas, so the restaurant was packed, and it took an hour to get our food. Given the mandatory 12.5% service charge, I was disappointed.
