It was interesting to see how United States representatives assert the need for war in Iran to achieve peace in the Middle East. Their main rhetoric was that the Iranian government has been malicious for more than several centuries, supporting regional proxies to instigate the debacle in the Middle East, so there needs to be regime change for long-lasting peace. I strongly disagree with this idea. This is because war involves mass civilian casualties. Additionally, the Iran war has proven that if the government has a solid foundation, it is extremely challenging to tackle. Moreover, it was not only about physical and armed clashes. It can spread into global social and economic disorder, far from achieving peace. For example, the Iran war has increased oil prices and is impacting the bottom lines of various countries. Many officials justify war as a means of achieving peace, but this war has proven that it is far from it.
